Best Chaos Daemons detachments 11th edition · ranked by winning lists

Every Chaos Daemons detachment, ranked by how many winning Chaos Daemons lists played it, with what it changes on the dice in our own words and the units it lifts most. Too few lists to judge: 2 winning Chaos Daemons lists, August – September 2026, so the order is a hint, not a verdict.

A winning list here is one that finished in the top quarter of its event. An army can take up to three detachments, so the shares add up to more than 100%.

1. 1

   Legion of Excess

   1 of 2 lists (50%)

Its rules don't change the dice, so they aren't in our numbers: charge eligibility.

2. 2

   Warptide

   1 of 2 lists (50%)

Its rules don't change the dice, so they aren't in our numbers: shoot/charge after Advancing.

Also in the book: Blood Legion, Cavalcade of Chaos, Daemonic Incursion, Lords of the Warp, Plague Legion, Scintillating Legion, Shadow Legion. We don't model their rules yet and no winning list in this window played them, so they aren't ranked. Boarding Patrol detachments, and other chapters' own, aren't listed.
