Batch 3's reviewers against each other (3 Oct)

From reports/tiers/2026-10-03-batch3-reviewers.md , rendered when the site is built.

The 18 unit tier lists of reports/tiers/sources/2026-10-03-tier3-other-factions.csv, as panels. Numbers from node tools/scratch/batch3-reviewers.js (panels from node tools/scratch/batch3-panels.js, the duplicate check from node tools/scratch/batch3-tyr-dup.js); the ledger's from node tools/ledgerstep.js --base tools/ledger-benchmarks/2026-10-03-step6-baseline.json --lists tyr.astrategas,tyr.auspex,tyr.hivemind,tyr.second,tyr.maelstrom.

Letters on one ruler, S A B C D F (F below D). ρ is Spearman on the shared units' letters (ties at their average rank); pairwise is the share of the pairs both lists separate that they order the same way. A list's noise ceiling is its letters against the mean letter of the other lists, on the units it shares with at least one of them. "Spread" is the gap between the lists' own percentiles for a unit (0 to 100), so a list that grades harder overall doesn't read as disagreement.

Tyranids: four lists in the CSV, one of them new

CSV listDateOursSame letter on shared unitsWhat the CSV adds

Astrategas Wargames (10th)21 Aprnone: new, 2026-04-21-tyranids-astrategas.json–48 units

The three 11th-edition lists are ones we hold; their panels are left unchanged. What the CSV settles and where it differs:

MG Maelstrom Gaming (10th)0.9296% (897)48
AW Astrategas Wargames (10th)0.7886% (876)48

Maelstrom sits closest to everyone (0.72 to 0.84), Astrategas included: the two 10th-edition lists agree at 0.84, as well as any 11th-edition pair. Into the Hive Mind, the one made after the July dataslate, is the outlier (ceiling 0.69).

A check, not a panel change: with the CSV's transcriptions in place of our three summaries, the 11th-edition three agree more (AU–HH 0.83, AU–IH 0.81, HH–IH 0.77, each on all 52 units) and their ceilings rise (AU 0.87, HH 0.87, IH 0.78), while Astrategas's falls to 0.71 (0.64, 0.66 and 0.50 against the three; 0.84 against Maelstrom). Whether the fuller transcriptions should replace the summaries as comparators, as the Space Marines' full Auspex transcript did, is the supervisor's call.

The units they disagree on most

22 of the 52 units graded by two or more of the five sit two or more letters apart. The widest, by spread:

(The Lash Whip Prime is S in both the Auspex and the Into the Hive Mind transcriptions: two of its letters here are the summaries'.)

Maelstrom (10th)4471% (744)81% (368)0.571 (48)

Mean over the five: ρ 0.564, pairwise 74.5%. Astrategas is the ledger's weakest Tyranid list by every yardstick. It is a comparator only: the yardstick's lists (ledgerstep.js's ARMIES) are unchanged.

World Eaters: three lists

RP The Red Path (29 Jun, three hosts, a first look), TS Tactical Sugar (20 Aug; role rows, not a strength scale, folded to letters in its panel's scale), EX Exalted40k (12 Sep; placed by popularity in 25 well-placed lists, then adjusted). Each grades the same 30 units, all matched (EX's one "Chaos Predator" entry is both Predators at its letter).

RPTSEX
RP–0.84 / 96% (277) / 30 / 160.65 / 85% (282) / 30 / 8
TS–0.76 / 90% (289) / 30 / 12

Ceilings: RP 0.77 (90%, n 30), TS 0.86 (95%), EX 0.72 (86%). Five units sit two letters apart: Eightbound (B, A, S), Lord Invocatus (C, B, A), the foot Daemon Prince (S, S, B), Chaos Spawn (A, B, C), the Bloodthirster (B, A, C).

Genestealer Cults: two lists

RY 40k Rey (11 Sep, S to D), CV Christian Von Carmian (27 Sep, A to D, no S by design). 23 shared units.

ρ 0.56, pairwise 85% (132 pairs), 8 at the same letter; with two lists each one's ceiling is that pair. Three units sit two letters apart, all graded for one detachment by RY and in almost every list by CV: the Abominant, the Biophagus and the Magus (RY C, CV A). CV has no S, so a letter gap of one between them is often no gap at all; the spread (54 for those three) is the fairer measure.

The other armies: coverage

Every list's names matched a stub of its army; no name is unmatched. "Own stubs" leaves out Legends and Crucible.
